Short Vitae
On leave at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics since March 2015
2009, researcher at INRIA Nancy Grand Est, Nancy, France.
2007 Ph.D. in computer science, Max Planck institute for Informatics, Saarbrücken, Germany.
2002 BS/MS in Mathematics, Drexel University, Philadelphia , PA, U.S.A.
Research Interests
My research activity started in the field of geometry processing, focusing on fundamental problems such as surface parameterization and surface deformation. Subsequently, it evolved towards visually accurate acquisition and modeling of real-world deformation, seeking simplified yet principled representations by reasoning on geometric, mechanical, and numerical considerations.
