Grants

Seidel has received grants from a wide range of organizations, including the German National Science Foundation (DFG), the German Government (BMBF), the European Community (EU), NATO, and the German-Israel Foundation (GIF). Some of his current project activities include: Coordinator EU project ViHAP3D, Coordinator EU Marie Curie Training Site for Complex Computer Systems at MPII, Co-Director Max Planck Center for Visual Computing and Communication Stanford/Saarbrücken.

In February 2003 Seidel was awarded the `Leibniz Prize', the most prestigious German research award from the German Research Foundation (DFG). Seidel is the first computer graphics researchers to receive this award.
